MC Bravado – “Brand New Bag”

I was commissioned to design the third and final single art for MC Bravado's song, titled "Brand New Bag". My illustrations for this project all tie in with the storytelling on the album, and focuses on one main character going through the motions (character not a depiction of Bravado).

For the art direction of this cover art, he told me that our hero here is in the midst of all the partying, but he's ready to kick his bad habits and addictions, much like what's being rapped about on "Brand New Bag". My interpretation shows the lead character sitting on his livingroom floor, after everyone from his house party has left, looking at rehab paperwork.
